Located in the municipality of Imbituva, in the state of Paraná, J8 Compensados operates in the wood sector, producing high-end plywood sheets and sheets. The company covers 6,000 m² of built-up area, where all stages of the production process take place.


With a production of approximately 2,300 m³ per month, efforts have always been focused on improvement, investing in high technology and strict quality control.

Process

  • Preparation

After selecting the pine logs, they go through the preparation process. The preparation system consists of cooking, laminating, cutting and drying.

  • Cozimento: a tora fica aproximadamente 16 horas cozinhando no vapor a 80 Cº.
  • Lamination: while the log is still hot, it is sent to the lamination, thus creating a large log blade.
  • Cutting: with the log already laminated, it is sent to the cutting system, guillotines define the size of the blade.
  • Drying: the slides are sent to a dryer to get rid of all the moisture in them.

The classification system will separate the sheets according to the quality and application of the plywood. After this process they are separated to go to the next process, the assembly process. 

The assembly system is defined by the processes:

  • Join Blades: a machine that splices narrow blades
  • Collage: applying glue to the blades
  • Pre-press: a system that speeds up the process of transferring glue between the layers of the sheets.
  • Pressing: hot presses that use two solid iron sheets heated by the steam pressure inside.
  • Cut and Square: the plywood receives a square cut and set.
  • Massing: use of acrylic putty and corrections are made in "knots" and possible cracks on the sheet face.
  • Sanding: Sanding the board to remove imperfections.
  • Calibrator: some types of plywood are calibrated to uniform thickness.
  • Packaging: plywood are packed with pallets and wait to be sent
  • Shipping and Shipping: when the plywood is properly packaged, it goes for shipment, either by land or sea (sent to the Port for export).
